Basically I want email notifications of all manner of things. As a community leader i definitely want notification of who has joined the group

Steve what would be your ideal way of receiving them? As it happens, or perhaps a daily or weekly digest?
Do you want to know when someone is posting a discussion or debate in a community you lead?
Can you ever see a point where you would be getting too much notification?

The e-mail notification is a brand new feature, we just implemented it yesterday. That’s why you got an e-mail from csrd and not Lechuck or I. We had both posted too long ago to be caught by the notifier.

Replying to hcraig , lecuck and csrd
personally i am happy for individual emails, but having the option of weekly or daily is obviously useful. i find it is a good way of making sure i deal with things rather than a daily digest. i can go through one by one. if you are involved in a lot maybe the emails might become to much, but as a community leader i think most definitely you want to know what is going on.
For some reason i cannot recall an email notification from hcraig or lechuck on this topic, but was drawn in by an email fron csrd. perhaps i missed you both to email overload :-).
