I’ve only just joined the site so I may have missed the answers to these questions.

I have a course that consists of 10 modules. I would like people to have the option to be able to pay on a modular basis or pay up front at a reduced rate. Is that possible?

Some of the modules are interactive and consist of a video, followed by some work done by the student, then another video, then some more work etc. Can I combine all those videos into one lesson? I know you can have video lessons but can you reference those from a lesson page so all the information is together? Otherwise someone may miss one of the videos. Or, can you put a link to the next video in the description?

My videos are 320 width to keep the file size down. Is there any way to keep them at that size on the site, rather than them being resized? That way people aren’t so likely to miss the comments below them.

Could the frame that is shown be the first frame of the video? My videos are me talking to camera and when videos grab random frames they always seem to catch me in a most unflattering pose!

One final (so far!) thing. As most of my students will be in the UK is there any way to change the currency to pounds? With currency rates constantly changing it would be nice to have a price that I know is set in my own currency.

Best Wishes Sharon

Hi Sharon, sorry for the delay getting back to you.

Each course you create has a curriculum created by you. You can take two paths: you can either create one entire course with all 10 modules in them and charge a reduced fee for all 10. Or, you can split the 10 modules into 10 different courses and set a price per course.

As for your videos + activity, when you create your videos and lesson articles you can organize them so that the video is lesson 1, the activity is lesson 2, the next video is lesson 3, and so on. You can also direct them to the next lesson with a simple link or a short text.

As for your videos, the dimension of video wont change, you don’t have to worry about that. Though the quality may be reduced a small amount due to it streaming from the internet.

For your last question, unfortunately we only have the USD currency at the moment. Though finding the conversion rate is pretty easy. You can head to http://www.xe.com/ucc/ and find what USD will convert into UK pound. Though when they pay you, it will go through your Paypal account and be converted to pound.

I hope that helps! :)

Thanks. I’ll have another look at the lessons and work out the way that will work best for me.

The conversion isn’t a problem – it’s just it’s nice to know that I’ve always got the same amount for a lesson rather than it changing because it makes my accounts easier as finance has never been my strong point!
