LearnHub is about to get a major facelift! (Discussion)

I’m happy to announce a bit early that LearnHub’s homepage is about to get a major facelift by development. They are not only making it look a lot better, they are also adding in many new features such as polling, community news, and “Notable This Week” bar. In essence, the homepage is going to be portal to the entire site!

Before we finalize the homepage, we want to ask you: What would you like to see stay? Your opinion is very important to us and we don’t want to remove a coveted feature.

i like the “Activity” sidebar. It’s good to see what others are working on and provides a good LPP opportunity before deciding if you want to join a community/person/lesson/course. and the fact that it has a RSS feed makes it easy to keep an eye on the goings on in the LearnHub community. it’s the heartbeat of the learnhub experience.

I like the activity sidebar so much that I am really curious about how you’re going to add to it… I wish there was a way to track “recent” activity past the few hours that are usually represented there. If I haven’t been able to check in for a few days, I miss a LOT of what’s happened. I rely on that sidebar to lift new information up above the “din” of all that’s accumulating here… It’s not a bad thing, the accumulation…it’s wonderful…but it’s hard to SEE what’s going on when there’s so much activity. I can only imagine what it will be like when the rest of the world gets here (grin).

I also like the features. I’d like to see more of them, actually.

I love this place…never thought I’d say “love” about a website.
