I am excited about finishing up my course created in Learnhub, but need help with the following:

1) I missed including one lesson in the sequence of the course. I have added it at the end of the course – but really need to move it to where it should be in the course. Can I move this lesson up to the correct place or is there a way to insert it to the appropriate place in the lesson?

2) I created quizzes/tests in the appropriate sequence through the course – with a final test at the end. How can I make sure that students take these quizzes/tests as they complete the corresponding lesson(s)?

Hi Ellen,

1) You can manage your curriculum which is a extremely helpful tool when it comes to organization! To manage it, simply enter your course, click the “Curriculum” tab and you’ll find a number of buttons to the right of the lesson lists. Click the “Manage Curriculum” button to edit it. You can now drag and drop lessons, videos, tests, and presentations in the order you prefer!

2) At the moment, we don’t have a gradebook feature which tracks and ensures members take tests in your course. This is on our development list and we plan on pushing this out the door really soon.

I have lessons in my workspace, but when I click on the manage curriculum button it says there is no content. Can you please visit my course to see the problem?

Also, there is a serious problem with how internet explorer is displaying the page. This is not just a problem from my computer, but any computer I view the editing screens for my course. I have had to switch to FireFox, which hasn’t completely solved the issue either.

I really like learnhub, but I am struggling to get my course completed for publication because of these small issues, which support has yet to help me solve.

I sincerely appreciate and look forward to your help.

Hi Ellen, Welcome to Learnhub!

Before you can add a lesson to a course it must be published otherwise it won’t show up under pages. Go into your course and check to see if its published, and be sure to click save.

Go back to your course and see if you can see the lesson page.

I’m interested in the problem your having with Internet Explorer, I’ll go check it out but I need to know a few things.

Describe the kind of problems your having in Internet Explorer.

Also if you also know What version of Internet Explorer eg. 5. 6, 7 What version of Windows eg. 98, ME, 200, XP Home, Vista Premium

Thanks for coming to help me so quickly, Andrew.

Your answer to my manage curriculum question worked – thank you.

As for the browser issue:

I am having problems editing my course in learnhub when viewing the site using Internet Explorer 6.0 and 7.0. on my computer, my work computer, and on my daughter’s computer at her home.

My specific concerns are that in the IE browser

1) The page layout of the editing screen is completely altered 2) The editing tools (to change font size and style, paragraph alignment, etc) do not appear. 3) The box to enter course content is dramatically reduced in size, pushed off to the left hand corner of the screen, and is filled with HTML code 4) Under the Publishing menu, descriptions of your choice under the Would you like to share this lesson drop-down menu do not appear i.e. if you choose “Yes, publicly share in my workspace in other areas” below it the description message “Everybody will see this lesson in you workspace and in the courses and communities you select” does not appear. The same holds true for choices made from the License your lesson under: drop-down menu 5) Under the Publishing menu, The Communities dialog box and the Courses dialog box are also missing.

I believe this is a serious issue so I certainly appreciate your attention. Please let me know when you are able to resolve it.

Thanks again.

I copied the Editing page and hope it will paste below – so you can see the problem. As previously stated, the Content portion of this page has no editiing tools – and the contents is show shown in a box of approximately 1-1/2” wide. I hope this helps as I am anxious to complete and publish my course.

Thanks for your help in resolving this problem.

Please delete the most recent post with Course Objectives. I copied and pasted in what was HTML from the Lesson editing page – to which I have no access to the editing tools and the Content area of the Lesson page. However, after it was posted – the HTML changed to regular wording. Note, as stated previously, the Lesson Content area is only approximately 1-1/2” wide in the editing mode.

Thanks.
