Fragmentation is the process by which any breaking parts of the plant body reproduces another plant body of same species.

While, regeneration is the process in which if any parts of the body is broken then a new part is generated from the broken area, it doesn’t generate the whole living body.

Renegeration is the growing back of a lost part of the body of an organism. It is usually used as a method of defence. Fragmentation is the unintentional cutting up of the body of an organism which each grows into different organism. It’s a mode of asexual reproduction.
