why do we need potential in electrostats.as we already have electric field and force before that.and out of d 3 only force can be experienced neither of d 2 other.

    current flows due to potential difference and if current flows then only the concept of force comes!!!

    its the same as we need the concept of energy ,which is defacto the mother of all concepts in physics,instead we have the concept of force. without this we cant explain a number of things such as why energy is lost when battery charges a capacitor in a circuit without any resistance.infact all concepts of energy in electrostats are concerned with electric potential.

    it helps us to understand abt d energy in a body wid respect to smthing else. potential is basically d comparison of energy of a body wid respect to sm other body. thus we can know which body is having more energy in it.
