uploading .mov files

I am attempting to create a video lesson using narrated Power Point presentation that has been saved as a .mov file. The file opens & plays in QuickTime on my computer. When I attempt to upload, I get a message that my upload was successful but when I attempt to play the video, there is only audio, no video and it cuts off about a minute into the 10 minute presentation. What should I be doing?

Actually, the Sorenson Video 3 codec isn’t currently working, unfortunately. There seems to be a error in the system with that codec. Andrew is right, you will need to encode the video with a different compressor (On2V, MPEG4, h264).

There is a guide to uploading videos that you may want to read through. It should help you with encoding a new format.

thanks, i was able to upload some files early last week, then beginning on wednesday 7/23 i started getting a message ‘413 Request Entity Too Large’ when uploading any file (all smaller than the 30MB max.). is there anything i can do about this?
