LearnHub: Your First 5 Steps

LearnHub, created by Savvica Inc., provides is an online learning website for teachers and learners of all kinds. Our goal is to the blur the line between instructors and students where an instructor in one subject may also be a student in many others.

This lesson aims to help you start your LearnHub adventure with 5 easy steps!

Step 1 - Sign up

Registering a Learnhub account lets you create a profile, join and create communities, participate in discussions and access tons of information.

All you need is a working e-mail address.

Sign up here!

Step #2 - Edit your Profile

Once you've signed up for Learnhub, you can edit your profile, also known as your Workspace. It is the central hub for all your activity. Generate some easy Authority points by adding personal information about yourself. To edit your profile, simply click the "Edit Profile" button found in your Workspace:

Here you can:

  • Upload a photo of yourself or your favourite image
  • Add your favourite quote in the Headline
  • Share your Location
  • Describe yourself and why you're on Learnhub
  • Share your favourite books and philosophers
  • Show which schools you have, or are, attending

Step #3 - Meet Mrs. Hubfellow

Right now you may be overwhelmed. Joining the Learnhub Support community is a great starting point. This community offers lessons and discussions which can help you learn how to use Learnhub.

To find or join a community with a topic you're interested in, use the community search. You can even pick the language, category or country of your choice. The more options you choose, the narrower your search results will be.

Learn more about all the cool tools and features Mrs. Hubfellow talks about:

Step #4 - Join your first Community

To join a community that you're interested in, click on the "Communities" tab at the top of the page. Use the search bar to look at various communities in different categories - these communities are listed by the number of Authority points they have.

You can join communities such as Photography, Jazz, Creative Writing, Inspirational Thoguhts, Business Basics or English. There are also test preparation communities such as GMAT Prep and GRE Prep. As you can see, there are tons of communities for you to choose from! In these communities you can have discussions and debates with other people, read lessons on the subject, answer trivia, and so much more!

Step #5 - Invite your Friends

Inviting your friends, contacts, and/or colleagues to LearnHub is a great way to share your content, populate your community, and inform others about LearnHub. See the lesson How to: Inviting Contacts for instructions on how to invite contacts to enroll in your course, to join your community, or to join Learnhub.
