I can’t figure out how to access the html or how to upload a photo properly.
The following lesson reviews different types of lessons. If you want to learn how to create your own lessons, visit Help: Creating and Publishing Lesson Pages.
| Q. | What are the three types of lessons? |
| A. | There are three types on lessons on Learnhub for viewing or creating: lesson pages, presentation lessons, and video lessons. Visit the following links on how to create these various lessons: |
| Q. | How do I view lessons that interest me? |
| A. | When you join a topical community, you can find lesson pages published by other users. Much like a discussion, you can comment on a lesson. You will find this at the bottom of any lesson. You can also rate a lesson. Doing so will help others when searching for a lesson to read. You can find the thumbs up and thumbs down to the right of the lesson page. |
| Q. | What are Lesson Pages? |
| A. | Lesson pages are text articles which can include aids such as color, photos, PDFs, and links. Lesson pages are the core of any community or course; they are easy to write, read, and enjoy! You can write lesson pages two ways: using 1) the Rich Text editor or 2) the advanced Textile Editor The Rich Text editor is easier to use; here, you can copy and paste a lesson written in Microsoft Word (or a similar program), or through a PDF. On the other hand, the highly advanced Textile Editor allows you to write the expansive lessons using simplified HTML code. A highly popular aspect of the Textile Editor is the fact it can do Math and Science Equations ![]() |
| Q. | What are Lesson Presentations? |
| A. | Presentation lessons are a high-quality flash conversion of your Microsoft PowerPoint presentation (.PPT or .PPS). Working with AuthorSTREAM, the presentation tools convert even the most complicated PowerPoint file into an online that can be published within a community and/or course. The best feature is that you can still view presentations full-screen. Take your PowerPoint presentations anywhere and showcase them on a projector. To learn more on how to create Presentations, visit the Help: Presentations lesson.
|
| Q. | What are Lesson Videos? |
| A. | Paired with Fliqz, LearnHub allows you to upload your video lessons and share them in high quality, and super fast with any community and/or course. You can also upload audio, such as Podcasts or MP3 lectures.

I can’t figure out how to access the html or how to upload a photo properly.
In order to access HTML you need to create a lesson using the Textile Editor… there is a full lesson here how to use it. You can also find a detailed how to upload a photo there as well.
I have just read through the How To create lessons. It has been very helpful.
I tried to upload a Word document (to link to one of the lessons that I created. However, it will not accept it unless it is a PDF. How can I convert the document from a rtf to a pdf file in order to upload it to the lesson?
Just two additional questions: (1) I created quizzes and tests to go with each lesson. How can make sure that the student takes the quizzes/tests in the appropriate order as they come up in the lessons. I created the quizzes in the order relative to the lessons. I want to make sure that it is flowing smoothly so that they take the quizzes/tests and keep going to the end of the course.
(2) Is it possible to insert a new lesson into the course – or just move a lesson up or down in order to change the order of the lessons?
Thanks, Ellen
All very interesting. I however have a complete other set of needs. I am directing a disaster related modified tabletop exercise for a large group of participants who will be located in their respective Emergency Operations Centres (EOC) which are located in a downtown urban environment. There are seven individual groups of players which have commonalities in that they are linked by purpose, but not physically. Of this group there will be approximately 20 individuals (exercise controllers) who direct/monitor/assist players during the exercise. The entire process is based on a set of circumstances and conditions which have been established by the Exrcise Director and the Controllers for the purpose of testing the emergency response procedures of each of the seven individual groups. The document titled Master Scenario Event Log (MSEL) is in fact the script with which the exercise is conducted. The objective of all of this is to determine not only the capability of each of the groups to respond quickly and effectivly, but to discover opportunities for interoperability between them. Now, the hard part. 1) Can a 40 page document containing tables be uploaded to learn hub; 2) Can these controllers login and have access to the document; 3) Would the controllers be in a position to dialogue with exercise control live, and comment on the progress of the exercise (like chat)
If you create a lesson or lessons in Learnhub, you can upload the 40 page document as a pdf file as an attachment to the lesson.
If the lesson is published as a “privately” as part of the course/lesson, you will need to send an invitation on the Edit Course page to each of the persons who will be participating; this will give each of them access to the lesson/course and the 40-page attachment.
I don’t know about live chat in Learnhub – maybe someone else can provide an answer to that question.
I can’t figure out how to access the html or how to upload a photo properly.
