| Q. | How can I add a link to a discussion post? |
| A. | To add a link in a discussion post simply encase the link title in quotations (” “) followed by a colon (:) and the URL. See the below example: |
| Code | Result |
Welcome to "LearnHub":http://www.learnhub.com. |

| Q. | How do I add an image to a discussion? |
| A. | In order to attach an image to a discussion post, it must be on the internet. You can either attach an image you’ve found on another website or you can upload your image to a free hosting service such as Flickr or ImageShack.
Once you’ve done so, simply encasing the image URL in exclamation marks (!) will allow you to post the image. Please see the example below: You can also watch a video lesson on attaching an image. |

While Posting a URL works as described… for some reason posting an image doesn’t it just posts a URL with an ! in front of it… am I doing something wrong?
It looks like no one else on the ‘post your favorite picture’ board has been able to make it work either… Thoughts?
Nellie, the only way to add videos right now is by creating a video lesson in your workspace… you could then link to it from a discussion.

Thank you, John, but that’s work!!! Why invent the wheel all over again? Don’t tell me because it’s engaging. LOL
Adam,
I think this lesson should be posted for everyone to see as soon as they become members of LearnHub.
Thank-you. The tips were very useful .Hope I’m successful in implementing them.
How about adding the colored text as in Astha’s example on the home page?
Hmmm. I’ve toggled the text editor (in the account options, under page editor, if, like me, it hasn’t been working for you) several times in the last few days. But, today’s the first time the WYSIWYG editor showed up, when I went to edit or create something. Is there a cookie on this page that unlocks the editor, once you visit? ;) At least I know how to change text colors, now…

Wonderful idea! I’ll talk to our development team about that and see how quickly we can set that up!

Remember, when you switch your Editor, your old lessons wont switch over. In order to see your change you must create a new lesson. For example:
If I create my lesson using the Rich Text Editor. I decide I’d rather write my lesson in the Textile Editor. I switch my setting in my account, followed by creating a NEW lesson page. If I try to edit the lesson I created when my account was set to the Rich Text Editor, it will always remain a Rich Text lesson.
Once a lesson is created, it will always remain that editor of choice. Even if I switch my account setting. It only effects newly created lessons. I think this is a confusing aspect.
I agree that this is a confusing aspect. But you can always copy & paste all of what you wrote in Rich Text into the Pro Editor and reformat it into a new lesson in the editor you like best. I personally really dislike the Rich Text, it just doesn’t work too well for me and keeps messing things up. Textile rules!

I was facing some problems while writing mathematical formula. Can somebody help?
kinshook, you want to look at textile commands. You can find instructions in LeChuck’s lesson and some examples here, but note that this only works in certain places, mainly lessons, tests, and making up your own trivia questions.

Where are you trying to write it kinshook?
Oren’s correct, it only works in lessons, tests, and trivia. Unfortunately it does not work in discussions.
